Our very own unsung beer guru has recently been elected to the the CAMRA Real Ale Hero’s Hall of Fame as he celebrates fifty years in the brewing industry and during a very sociable afternoon investigating some of York’s finest hostelries tells journalist and beer write Steve Hobman about how it started and why after almost fifty years there’s no sign of retiring whilst brewing and working with brewers still gives him so much pleasure.
