Grain Handling
Grist Case. 350 kg capacity with 8m x 4” auger tube ( 2 tonne per hour) feeding to grist hydrator.
Typical mashing in time 12 min to 14n
Brew House
A three vessel 10 Brl hl Brewhouse (Hot Liquor Tank, Mash Tun with Underback and Copper) built and installed by Johnson Brewery Designs in 2011. The brew house is powered by immersion heaters and requires a 3 ph (415v) electricity supply.Also included is brewhouse air compressor
Brewhouse vessels
HLT: Gross Capacity 2,500, Temperature controlled with recirculation pump. 2 x 12 kW Immersion elements. Top manway access for additions. Overflow
Mash Tun: Maximum Grist capacity 500 kg. Wedge Wire Mash tun plates in four quarters. Rotating Sparge Arms. Vorlauf facility
Underback: (also doubles as CIP dosing tank)). Gross Capacity 150 l. level control connected to wort transfer pump
Copper: Gross Capacity 2, 500l, 3 x 18kE immersion heaters independently controlled and with immersion protection fitted. 150mm flue with condense trap. Top manway for additions. Hop retaining plate for use with whole hops. Sample port.
All the brewery pipework is hard piped and integrated with Brewhouse pumps, includes in-line hop seed filter, 10 Brl per hour Heat Exchanger (operating on 11ºC well water) and able to chill wort down to 18ºC and CIP from the Brewhouse through to FV’s. The Copper currently uses whole hops but could be used with pellet hops with slight modification.
Control Panel
The brewery has a Control Panel operating the Brewhouse auger pumps, heaters (HLT Temperature control and FV Temperature control systems.
Additional items included
Two Head Automatic Cask Washer (3ph). Automated cleaning cycle with hot caustic clean, fresh water rinsing and final PAA dosing. Approximately 40 – 50 casks per hour.
Brewology automated cask racker (1ph) incorporating isinglass finings dosing. Volume fill.
Sundry items of brewing equipment such as soak baths, hoses, cask trolleys etc plus pares and are all included in the purchase price. Also available is a four head gravity bottle filler, bottle caper and bottle rinser. 2 x IBC (1000 litre) used for detergent storage
Available to purchase separately are approximately 500 stainless steel casks (firkins and pins) and kegs (Trilobe keg head, 30 l capacity)
The seller will ensure the electrics are disconnected and the equipment made safe and equipment is able to be dismantled safely. The purchaser would be responsible for decommissioning and removal of the brewing equipment and vessels from site.
