The 3rd October marked the 20 th anniversary of the inaugural brew at the new Brimstage
Brewing Co on the Wirral with Trappers Hat G001(and with quite a bit of help from Brewing
Services Ltd along the way).

‘Trappers’ as the beer is affectionately known, soon became a firm favourite in the area and
remains so as the number of brews now tops 2,500 and the beer is tasting as good as ever.
Sadly, Neil Young who started the brewery in 2006 died but the brewery lives on with sons
Ben and Nat at the helm, and a great brewing team headed by Tom Menaul, all celebrating
this wonderful milestone and raising a glass or two to Neil. Here’s to the next twenty years
and many more brews of ‘Trapper’s.
